Everyone affiliated with Richard Nader Entertainment expresses to our loyal fans our sincerest apologies for the unauthorized political comments expressed by our guest, Joey Reynolds, of WOR Radio during our show at the Izod Center on June 14, 2008. We regret the comments made by Mr. Reynolds as we in no way endorse them. The intent of our shows are to entertain those in attendance who pay their hard-earned money to enjoy our wonderful music and not to be used as a soapbox for an outside party to inappropriately express political views. It is the first time in nearly 40 years that such a situation has arisen during a Richard Nader Entertainment Program. We truly regret the incident and all necessary precautions will be taken in the future to avoid a repetition of such unauthorized conduct. I personally thank you for your understanding and continued support. I am posting a letter of explanation received from Joey Reynolds.

People who listen to my show know that I have no political agenda, as a matter of fact I have been critical of all 3 Senators taking our money for 2 years and not doing the job they have been hired for. I was simply responding to an on air visit from Mel Carter on my show Friday night about rock n roll which started as race music. Mel has a CD of music originally recorded by black artists which were furthered by whites and reclaimed. My comments on stage were " I have lived the entire history of rock n roll and I hope I live long enough to see a black president", which was a statement of freedom not politics. This is what I was thinking but it didn't come out that way, my comments were totally inappropriate and I am sorry to have dampened the spirit of a wonderful music experience. Perception is reality.
